Statement to the CCW annual meeting, 14-15 November

This statement was delivered to CCW participants at the CCW annual meeting on 14 November 2013. The statement issues a call for a pre-emptive and comprehensive ban on the development, production, and use of fully autonomous weapons, also known as lethal autonomous robots, and reiterate support for the proposed mandate for the Convention on Conventional Weapons.
