This second edition of the primer lays out the basics and issues of lethal autonomous weapons and their relevance to Philippine policy and law.
The research and development of lethal autonomous weapons systems (LAWS) is at its nascent stage, driven mostly by developed countries with an interest in expanding their military capabilities. The technology used to build them, however, already exists in parts and parcels.
